WSK Euro Series: Vice Champion 2010! E-Mail
Mittwoch, den 09. Juni 2010 um 15:02 Uhr

beitske-casqueOn her first participation in the WSK Euro Series, Beitske Visser showed an extraordinary performance by finishing second in a karting event that could be easily mistaken for a European Championship. A girl at this level in the KZ2 category is something never seen before!

In the first weekend of June, Beitske Visser went back to the Italian circuit of Sarno, where she had already been in April for the European KZ2 Championship. "When you go back to a track you know, you always feel you can do better than the previous time", the Dutch girl declared. "As far as I am concerned, my goal for the WSK Euro Series final race is clear: victory! I know I have the potential for that, although I have to compete against drivers who are more experienced than I am".

WSK Euro Series: New Success in Super KF! E-Mail
Dienstag, den 08. Juni 2010 um 14:59 Uhr

podium-nyck-de-vriesWithtwo victories, two second places in five races and the title of vice champion, Nick De Vries can draw a very positive assessment of his participation in the WSK Euro Series in Super KF. The young Dutch driver is a rookie in the elite category of international karting, but that did not prevent him from constantly duelling with the best drivers, in addition to finishing his championship with a brilliant success in Sarno (Italy).

Just a few months ago, Nyck De Vries did not think he could win so many trophies in his first half-season. "I came from KF3, so my aim was to improve and gradually become more competitive to fight for victory. All things considered, a second place in the WSK Euro Series on my first season in Super KF is a great satisfaction for me. We decided to maintain our little independent structure despite the fact that we had to face major factory teams and we showed we are capable of some nice things. I would like to thank all my technical partners and all the people who are with me and support me".

On the World Cup Podium E-Mail
Freitag, den 28. Mai 2010 um 14:57 Uhr
nyck-de-vries-skfNyck De Vries and the drivers who entered the World Cup for Super KF had to face dantesque conditions in Japan, on Sunday, May 23. The Suzuka circuit was under a heavy downpour of rain and made the situation more complicated for drivers. Karts suffered in those conditions, too, and Nyck also paid his toll. But the young Dutch kartman never gave up and fought like a lion to climb on the third step of the podium of this world meeting.

Unlike many of his regular European rivals, Nyck De Vries chose to take his trip to Japan to face a pack mostly composed of Asian drivers of very good level, just as drivers such as Jarno Trulli, Vitantonio Liuzzi and Lewis Hamilton - former winners of the World Cup - had done before him. "This season, there are not many races in the Super KF category. So I thought it was important to be at this world-level event. I had already discovered the Suzuka circuit last year. I had finished second in the Junior-Yamaha race and had kept a very pleasant memory of it. It was also an opportunity for me to try the special, very soft rubber tyres".

Beitske Conquers Again E-Mail
Donnerstag, den 13. Mai 2010 um 14:55 Uhr

visser-start-kz2Beitske Visser's results continue to improve. After reaching the first row in a European Kart Championship and regularly climbing on the podium at international level, the 15-year old Dutch girl has proved to be ready to fight - and win - on equal terms against more experienced drivers. Comfortably second in the WSK provisional standings after the third podium in a row conquered in Belgium, she now has victory as her priority aim.

When you bump into Beitske Visser in the paddocks, it is hard to imagine that behind that young face there is a formidable fighter. But if you ask about her in international karting circles, to her rivals and to journalists, you will learn that she is actually one of the most well known girls in this sport where all drivers, regardless of their gender, are treated just the same. Since the beginning of the season, her progression in the WSK Euro Series has been simply impressive. Beitske has become a regular on the podium during this Championship, from which the future talents of car sports have emerged over the last few years.

Recognition in the Form of Victory! E-Mail
Dienstag, den 11. Mai 2010 um 14:51 Uhr

nyck-de-vries-finishA driver who wins on his 5th presence at a Super KF meeting, the elite category of international karting, is a rare enough event to make noteworthy. Nyck De Vries (Zanardi-Parilla) achieved this exploit after a race managed with a master's hand on the Genk circuit, in Belgium. As a result, the Dutch driver conquered the second place in the very hard-fought WSK Euro Series and he is now ready for fight for the title at the final meeting, to be held in Italy in June.

Every new race gives Nyck De Vries the opportunity to show how immensely talented he is with a wheel in his hands. However, many things happened east of Brussels, so much so that it became essential to stay perfectly focussed and to act with clear-sightedness to emerge from a pack gathering the best kart drivers in the world.

Donnerstag, den 29. April 2010 um 15:09 Uhr
COM_SUSILO_2010_n2As always, the debut of the international season is always a very busy time and Kevin Susilo has already attended five important meetings in 2010, in addition to a few test sessions to fine-tune his preparation. Now this young Indonesian promise who races in the KF2 category knows his DR-Parilla very well, and he can exploit the qualities of his kart to their full extent. Willing and ready to enter the top 10…

France, Italy, Belgium or Spain... Kevin Susilo continues to visit countries where great champions of karting and car racing wrote the most beautiful pages of history. But though this path seems natural for a European driver, it is much less so for this young Indonesian, who left his country to the conquest of karting championships organised in the old continent!

The Podium: A Good Habit for Beitske E-Mail
Mittwoch, den 21. April 2010 um 14:47 Uhr

ksp_129_2924Karting is a difficult discipline, both from a driving and technical point of view, but it becomes even more complex when it reaches international level. Good results are never easy to achieve, but repeating positive results is even more challenging. In Spain, at the third round of the WSK Euro Series, Beitske Visser overcame the difficulties inherent in this sport to climb on the podium again. The rest of the season can be seen in a more optimistic light now…

After stopping at the two Italian circuits of Muro Leccese and Lonato in March, the WSK Euro Series moved to Spain, near Saragossa. The Zuera track has been tailor made for the 125cc gearbox karts that Beitske Visser drives this season in the KZ2 category. "Here we reach very high speeds, it is really cool. There are several parts where you can overtake and my equipment is working better and better. Free practice went fine, I feel confident about the race”, the fast Dutch girl commented.

Super Nyck in Super KF! E-Mail
Montag, den 19. April 2010 um 14:39 Uhr

ksp_3790After the cancellation of the European Championship, the WSK Euro Series has become an undisputable reference point for top-level international karting. Nyck De Vries races in Super FK, the most competitive category of the series, where the young Dutch driver duels shoulder-to-shoulder with all the most experienced drivers. Despite his rookie status, he is beginning to emerge. After a second place in Italy, in March, he mounted again on the second step of the podium in Spain. Victory was closer than ever.

Nyck De Vries was happy to be back in Spain, on the Zuera circuit, near Saragossa, where the young Dutch driver achieved some of his most exciting victories. At the end of 2008, it was there that he fought for victory in the WSK and then conquered the title of European KF3 (Junior) Champion last year. "The circuit is a lot more difficult than it looks", Nyck admitted. "There are long straight stretches where you need a very long gear ratio, which however penalises you in the bends. So it is fundamental to perfectly adjust one's kart and exploit at best the power of one's engine".

Marvin Kirchhöfer schnellster KF2-Pilot beim Winterpokal Kerpen E-Mail
